5 Marvelous Makeup Tips that take You from drab to fab in just 5 Minutes

Want to look effortlessly fabulous whilst running your errands & picking up the kids from school? Now there’s a thought. Allow me to let you in on a secret: less is more, be noticed for all the right reasons. You should be wearing the makeup, not have the makeup wearing you. Makeup can transform your day & how you feel, so for me that means applying a little something before I go out the door, even if it’s a CC cream with a SPF to even out my complexion & add some glow.

FOUNDATION:

Keep it simple go for a BB, CC cream or a tinted moisturizer. I’m a Sun Safe Girl so I always advise my clients to choose a product with a SPF of at least 30. One of my favourites atm is Naked Sundays SPF50+ Collagen Glow 100% Mineral Perfecting Priming Lotion. If you like a little more coverage of course you can apply your favourite foundation.

CONCEALER:

With this 5 minute look concealer is your best friend, use it only where you need it. I always use a couple of concealer shades, a peachy tone for colour correcting under my eyes & a shade a couple of shades lighter than my foundation to add highlight to the centre of my face. It’s one of the quickest ways to give your face some dimension. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Multi-Use Concealer has amazing pigment payoff & doesn’t settle into fine lines.

EYES:

Applying a skin toned cream shadow such as MAC’s Painterlilly or Sigma’s Persuade shadow stick to the eyelids eliminates any discoloration on the lids, helping you look fresh & awake. If you want to add some colour, you can do a sweep of your favourite shadow or use a coloured shadow stick.

Applying a powder liner is a quick & easy alternative to liquid liner & gives a more subtle effect. If you’re an ace with a liquid liner go for it. I like to use a brown, satin -finish powder on an angled brush to define my upper lash line & a soft gold for the lower, this helps to open up the eyes. Curl your lashes & add a couple of coats of your favourite mascara.

CHEEKS:

Whether you prefer a powder or a cream blush, go for that ‘I’ve just run around the block’ look. A soft pink glow is always the safest bet, it will look more natural & effortless. Zoeva’s stunning Pink Spectrum Palette is perfect for this. Take this one step further by applying a touch of highlight to the tops of your cheek bones.

LIPS:

Add your tinted lip balm or gloss & you’re ready to head out the door.
